Skip a Latte for a Cause!

I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I know there are many charity events asking for donations, so I understand if you prefer to donate elsewhere.

My Mother was recently diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. I am so proud of how bravely she is facing her diagnosis and how she lives each day with hope and love. I envision a world where no one will ever have to go through what she is going through.

I am in training for a ride to raise money for the BC Cancer Agency that takes place in June. It is 240km of riding over two days, from here to Seattle.

Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care made possible through BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.

Why the Ride to Conquer Cancer? Mainly because I am a cyclist and I will be thinking about why I am training every time I get on my bike. Every ride, I will have in mind my Mom, others affected by cancer and the work done by BC Cancer Agency.

There is no such thing as a donation that is too small, so if you skip a latte and a treat and instead donate $5, that would be great. (larger donations are also welcome if you wish)

Thanks for your time,

Calvin
